Ubuntu touch released today! iSwitched maybe? please?

Jack.EXE

As you may or may not know, today Canonical released Ubuntu touch alongside Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

If you havent heard of it, take a look.

This is quite exiting for me, as it's what I've been waiting for before I buy a phone.

List of devices

@LinusTech @Slick Can we get an iSwitched, maybe? Please?

It seems pretty good right of the bat but I'm really looking forward to how this will mature over the coming years.

If it does well, I'll really consider it on my next phone upgrade.

I run fedora 17 (alongside W7) cause I get the rock solid red hat back end, and the wonderful Unity interface.

I'm really digging a unity interface phone...

Well I know what I'm doing tomorrow :) Expect a iSwitched from me if I get it to work!

EDIT: Nevermind... All there is for my phone is a build from early 2013 :( Maybe they will make a ROM for it and then I will try it :/

Tried installing Ubuntu Touch on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 not too long ago and would not boot, so I will have to stick with Android Omni 4.4.2 for now.

This is old news. This has been around for a while now.

Oh wow, that's quite nice. Shame it's not for the LG G2, or else I probably would have tried it out by now. Who knows...maybe in the future!
