How many people here even use surround?

kaylexmorgana

Or eyefinity?

I haven't been here a lot of looked around a lot but I think I only saw 1 or 2 others besides me.

I mean once I got it I couldn't go back to 1

It was tough with the 660 ti though :P

My dream is to surround some 4k monitors at a massive 11000x2000(w/e) resolution

But I don't want 5fps and the price is inhuman

I used it for a long time, but the desktop experience is still everything but ideal, so I stepped away from it.

I will use it soon again on my dedicated gaming rig, but not on my main rig.

I would kill to use surround, but my GTX 580 only supports 2 monitors. It's a bit ridiculous when you consider that even a garbage Intel iGPU supports 3 monitors. As of now I'm using 2 1080p monitors, one for gaming the other for skype and a few hardware monitoring programs.

I use surround sound. :P I don't have either the capital, real estate or hardware to actually support a surround system. But if I did, I would definitely do it.

I just got my third 1080p monitor, so I'm just starting to use it. A lot of people dont like it because of the bezels, and I cant really understand why, as it simply adds a peripheral vison and isnt designed to extend your display....

I just wished it worked better with multitasking, so you could snap windows to monitors and soforth. That would be nice.

Full eyefinity here as well as a 4th monitor for task man, chat, profiler, etc. If I buy another raedon card I will connect my other two on top and the desktop positioning will work again so I can hook my projector up on another line. y4una3ej.jpg Will change the Dell out for a wide screen and put one on the other side those three connected to the second raedon. Then route the Dell through my projector because they are the same resolution and hook that up to the Nvidia Gtx260 that I have running for physx. Currently the 260 is doing the center upper monitor and physx calculations where applicable. Now if only more games would use it would be nice. As for surround sound I just bought logitech g51 speakers that will replace my current ones and then I use headphones for most as the speakers get to loud however I found even emulated surround for headphones works better than actual and normal levels high volume I'd much rather my speakers

Thanks Guys! Fullmetal

The only reason I would let a AMD card in my machine was to use a 6 monitor eyefinity because NVidia got lazy and doesn't care about anything above 3

But I decided not to and would be even more pressure on the cards.

I love my AMD cards performance and power but amd who's your quality control man. Seriously he's got a date with a dragons breath she'll. Their drivers a so shitty. I will probably switch to Nvidia once the surround implement gets better.

Benq GW2255's I believe 3 pack for 300 dollars memory express. And a gw 2250 for my 4th? Will get back to you on that. Wanna upgrade to large formats. If I had the room I would do projectors I may throw a oculus in there somewhere for star citizen or if not track or but no one makes a set of cards powerful enough to run a bubble of displays which is what I actually want.

edit GW 2250 for the Eyefinity
G2220HD for the 4th Monitor.

Thanks Guys! Fullmetal

Started on my EyeFinity surround gaming trip with the purchase of 2x HD5870 back in late 2009 IIRC (or very early in 2010), it was a game changer for me, suddenly I have a full panoramic view in front of me, I can never go back to a single monitor and thoroughly enjoy the game as much. About two years or so ago, I decided to try S3D gaming, hence my dual GTX670 rig, liked it......but, I was quite drawn into the game like I was with surround gaming. Skipped the HD6xxx series (not exactly true, I did have a pair of HD6870 briefly, perhaps a couple of weeks) before I'd moved on to 3 way HD7970.

Now, I game in surround with my main rig which is totally dedicated to gaming, bought some peripherals along the way (XBOX 360 gamepad for PC, Logitech MoMo steering wheel and Logitech Wingman Force 3D joystick) to enhance the gaming experience. Here's a shot of mine....it's a slightly older pic, I'd since swapped out the Tt Level 10M mouse for a Logitech G700s and the DS2 78 Version keyboard to a HHKB Pro 2.
