Phanteks PH-TC14PE case compatability issue

Hello!

i'm planning on buying the Phanteks PH-TC14PE for my i5 2500K since it's the best cooler around but i have an issue, I own a cooler master Cosmos S (which is a very weird full tower) and i plan to replace my native Intel stock cooler with something that really is a cooler and when i contacted coolermaster and asked them if had enough height clearance for it they said you'll run into some issues. So..... Does anybody know if i can fit it to my case? anyone here who own a Cosmos S and installed a dual tower heatsink to it? Help meh!

Maxinum clearence for cooler height is 155mm in that case. The cooler you are going for is 160mm without 140mm fans and with them its 170mm. So yeah, cooler is too tall for the case. I suggest trying to find smaller cooler.

OH there is no issue there all you got to do is cut a rectangle in your side panel window...That would be baller as hell.

The case is 26.6cm wide and the cooler is 16cm tall so that leaves 10cm of clearance minus the 3cm for back side panel and another 3 for the motherboard and you should have about 4 cm of clearance. You could just measure it and see.

Why do you always die right after I fix you?

Take the side mesh/window off. Thats only way really. But even that might not be enough if the mesh/window is such plave that it isn't over CPU.

get a cosmos 2? or cut a hole in the side panel. the comos s isn't the best case. 155mm is quite annoying cos even coolers with 120mm fans are 160mm, they really didn't think that one through.
