lol since you asked :P  you could make the usb hub's tilt upwards in 90 degree angle? Something similiar to this rev counter

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC

I would be cool if you would take some cloth used in mouse pads and put it over the entire desk.

Yeah the desk is gonna have an integrated verticle USB hub that is flush with the wood.

Yeah I'm currently trying to source some sort of covering for the desk, my current thought for the surface material is neoprene foam.

Maybe some kind of soft-touch? Sort of like HTC used at the back of their phones in the past. You can make it so it will "absorb" scratches.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

Yeah, I'm looking for a material that will work well with just about any mouse without the need for a mouse pad. The added benefit of absorbing scratches would also be awesome. Might get a company to send me some samples or something...

I am using this desk

IMG_9000_zps7f7123c7.jpg

It's a custom design from National Furniture http://www.nationalo...d-furniture.htm, it might be a little high for most budget's, as it was $4000, but I linked the site just encase.

I also have this desk, which is my wife's desk

IMG_9096_zpsec6bf54d.jpg

It's a Collins Executive Desk from Haverty's http://www.havertys.com/Product_43911 , With everything, cost, taxes, shipping and the extended care package, the total came to just shy of $1200 for this desk.

A very good desk is a must. I look at a desk the same way I look at a PSU's, never cheap out on them. It is your battle station, work space or both, comfort is everything. :)

They both look very nice and solid, although I myself prefer black wood over brown.

Thank you :) and neither are brown, they are both constructed out of Cherry oak wood, in the pic though, because of the lighting, my wife's desk looks alot browner then it really is, but yes I know what you mean, you can never go wrong with black as it matches pretty much everything :)

Love those desks dude! Look like they are ready for some serious hard work. I completely agree with you. You cheap out on a PSU it fails, you cheap out on a desk and it sucks.

Yep. Lol. Black is truly my favourite colour. Currently thinking of going for a black wood and silver metal ascetic.
