Control pc from phone not local?

I have splashtop on my phone and its great to be able to control my pc when I'm in bed or somewhere else in my house, but is there a way to control my computer when I'm not home over 4g?

you have to upgrade the splashtop app on your phone. on iOS its a in-app purchase

oh okay I have android I just went into the app and it's 17 bucks a year not too bad

As said before use Team Viewer it's really easy to install and use and allows full control of your PC from another PC or smartphone.

 

EDIT: Teamviewer is also free for non-commercial use.

Teamviewer is the best imo. They are also supporting lots of platforms like Android, ios and Windows Phone 8

I use Remote desktop, you have to enable a port in your router tho.

but this works good and is faster then Teamviewer.

Teamviewer would be your best bet.

I believe you can use Chrome Remote Desktop without being local.
