h90 for GTX 770s?

I have a stock GTX 770 with an old gtx 680 cooler that I will mildly overclock, will a h90 attached via kraken g10 improove noise or temps? Also, are there any better options for the same price? ($100)

Build: Fx-8120@4.1ghz,  Gtx770@1.0ghz,  16gb Patriot memory,  Cheap case from thermaltake

The Kraken G10 would most likely decrease noise and decrease temperatures compared to the old GTX 680 Cooler. Either the Corsair H90 or the Kraken X40 (Both perform about the same) paired with the Kraken G10 would be a great choice.

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M

Although this is absolutely correct - the real issue here is.. How much better temps/performance are you expecting? Because it probably won't lower the temps as low as you think... Maybe just a few degrees.

Just ask yourself if $100 is worth just 3-9 degrees better performance.

However, if you are overclocking and actually need better cooling, then I shall quickly oppose my above sentence and say yes, if this is more of a need than a want, then that setup is very solid and would work great.

Actually after doing some looking around I found that the Kraken G10 with a decent 120/140mm AIO paired with it will usually reduce GPU temps by 10-20C which will really help if you load temps are up at something like 80C.

Yes, it can for sure. I've seen it personally. I was just trying to stay on the lower end so the expectations and hopes aren't too high going into this and spending the money. Not to mention, depending on the overclock, it can easily change this.

Well the expectations also depend on how the OP's current cooler performs.

@OP What cooler do you currently have on your 770, also what kind of temperatures do you get with that cooler.
