With my corsair sp 120 qe what is the little cord that came with it? A ln adapter? Bring it to 7v or 5v?

 

call a low noise adapter or voltage reducer adapter. i think it is from 12v to about 9v (25%)

It's a voltage adapter to lower the voltage to the fan.

Corsair's website doesn't list that in the package contents but I'm guessing it's a low noise adapter.

Pretty much.

 

It's a Voltage Regulator.. In other terms, noise reducer!

well ln=low noise.

But OK thanks. I won't be using it, my ickey phantom 410 has 1 good thing about it, 3 speed fan controller.

jokes aside, this.

I didn't buy them because they are quiet. I bought them because who wouldn't buy twin pack for 13.46 USD??? And they look good and should be quieter than stock nZxt fans
