So they are all Fermi cores? That is a bit disappointing, I at least hoped on some cut down Kepler cores.

They're not even Maxwell.

Imagine a GT 705 Maxwell card. The power usage would be so low you could hook up a Duracell to it and it'd run

the 710 and 720 are kepler, you just need to look at the chips, g mean gpu i think and then the second letter dictates the arc of it.

I think this is the best news article I have ever read. It's nice to see people putting effort into their posts rather than just pasting a link.

By the title, I was thinking the 860,870 and 880, but then I read the article...

What's even the point in these chips anyway? Especially since their already years old. Everyone hates rebrands.

firstly marketing, people think its new. Secondly someones gpu dies, they only have £50, they cant get a new system so they get one of these.

Then the 710 and 720 are 640 rev.2 rebrands (and probably cut downs). 630 and below was still Fermi.

I am definitely going to take advantage of the EVGA step-up plan. I am going to trade in my EVGA 680 Classified 4GB into the 710, that card is a beast. Sarcasm (just incase)

Yeah, because AMD never rebrands cards. Oh, wait, that's right, every single R series card is a rebrand EXCEPT the 290 and 290X. So the 230, 240, 250, 250x, 260, 260x, 265, 270, 270x, 280, and 280x are ALL rebrands. Not saying one company is better than the other, not gonna argue what is strictly a matter of opinion, but I am pointing out the fact that BOTH card developers use rebrands and that the practice is nothing new.
