How much should I be spending on a Crimper?

Look under "Which Crimper & Pins do I buy?" here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1262900/frequently-asked-sleeving-questions#

He gives a good comparison between crimpers using picture examples and explains what makes a good crimper. Even if you don't buy the ones he suggests, it's good knowledge to have for what to look for in a crimper.

Hey,

I've been looking into making some custom cable extensions for my psu and I realised that I would need to buy a crimper to do it.

However, when looking into it there are so many which range from around 5-100+ and I have no idea what i should spend to get a good one.

Obviously im not spending £100 on a tool like this but how much is a good crimper gonna cost me so i have some idea of where to look.

It's a kinda stupid question but i don't wanna waste money on some crap one which will mess up all my cables.

Thanks in advance

If you have the budget spend whatever you want...money was born to be spent. When I got mine I looked at a few factors, mostly reviews but aesthetics was also important because I do have a few diva tendencies in me  B)

I would spend the extra to get the LC crimper. A good crimper is worth its weight in gold and I stand by ours 100 percent. Plus the pins that come with it are a bonus!
