Corsair h100i on CM n600

Soundtripper009

Anyone have a solution? My Corsair h100i's rad is installed at the top of my CMn600 and the problem is that when it put on the fans for the radiator it touches the very edges of the RAM slot. I don't know where to put the fans or rad so it wont touch the RAM slot.

Are you trying to configure a push pull setup on the H100i?

You could always try to use the grates which are meant for airflow as mounts for your screws. Or drill out larger holes if needed. You can likely still use the grommets to reduce vibrations as well.

This guy did the same idea in his C70 to get push pull.

No, What I mean is that when I put the radiator and the fans on the top of the case, it is too thick that a little portion of the ram slot is blocked by the fans because it is too thick and my fans were too close to the RAM that I have to unscrew and remove the rad and the fans just to add or replace my RAMs

Not much you could really do about that.

Hello, can you please post a picture so we can see. I also have this case and thinking of doing this. You might be better of going for some slim fans they might be thin enough to bring it away from the ram slots. If they are just touching it should not be that bad as long as it is only the frame and the fans are not running and stupid speeds.

The other thing you could do going back to Dam Dirty Ape is move the rad over towards the case door. I was thinking of doing this. You would have drill some new holes but you could use the  holes from the mid 140mm as a guide a drill from there.

The red outline would be the rad, you would have to drill new holes were needed.. It should give enough clearance if you have low profile ram.

Here are my rig with the h100i attached to the top, you can notice that the fans were blocking a little portion of the ram slot but not the RAM itself.

It does not look like it should affect the ram. The vibration will be very minimum. You have three options really. One is to leave it there should be no problem. The other option would be to move the rad like i suggested in the picture, this will move fans towards the case door and may bring to off the ram slots. This does mean drilling new holes and redoing the rad. The last one is to get extra slim fans like http://www.scan.co.uk/products/akasa-ak-fn078-120mm-slim-fan-designed-for-htpc-or-slim-system i don't know if they sell them near you, this will give you an extra 10 mm, It is personal choice.

I will most likely get this cooler as well but re drilling holes and my north bridge does look taller than yours..
