Case choice for medium watercooling build

JDregius

Hi,
First post so give me a slap if i miss anything obvious that would help.

I'm trying to pick between the bitfenix shinobi XL and the bitfenix colossus ( full tower version.)
the aim is to have a case with good options for water-cooling. I don't want to spend too much on this, so unfortunately no 900D.

Which of these would be better, or is there another case at roughly the same price ( £120-150 GBP) that would beat the pants off them.
i would also rather it not be too 'blingy' the colossus is probably the most bling case that i like.

just in case it helps:
CPU FX-8150
MoBo asus crosshair formula v
GPU MSI GTX 770
8gb of cheapo RAM
Corsair AX860 (i think its the AX its the modular one)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
thanks

CPU: AMD Fx-8370 @ 4.8 Ghz MoBo: Asus Crosshair V Formula Z GPU: Msi Gtx 770 'gaming' RAM 16GB kingston hyperX fury  PSU: Corsair AX860 Cooling: Corsair H55 Case: Corsair 760T
I want the most powerful PC in the world.... and ill still just play Dota on it

I love the Shinobi, but its a bit outdated. The Nzxt Switch 810, Phantom 530, Phantom 630, Fractal Design Arc Xl, and Arc Midi are good choices in price range.

Wow, Would you look at that

To be honest I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to cases the suggestions look good and pass the no bling test easily.
has case design really improved that much that a slightly older case is non competitive?
the modular drive bays appeal to me as i doubt i will need more than 3 drives in my pc (2 SSD 1 HDD)
the fractal looks awesome for £100 is there a catch i should be aware of though?

I have only one issue with the 750d the window is just too big you can see the drive bays which i personally don't like.
Thanks for the advice so far guys

AHHH just realised, i will be using a 360 mm Rad for this most likely that would have been useful to put down wouldn't it?

450d is good for that

You can put a 360 in an H440 or Midi R2. Look at my build log for a 360 in an R4.

I think over all i will get the fractal design arc XL, Mainly due to price but also i like the bigger case for future upgrades.
Given I'm not a particularly skilled or ambitious builder i think the larger space will make neat cable management and water-cooling layout easier for me to manage.

Thank you very much for the help, when my bank balance approaches a happy level again i will start buying and posting on the build thread and will credit any/all people who have helped and advised.
