I really like the new Mac Pro and how it's designed, but I would never own one. I don't have a need for it. But overall, I really like the design of it and how it's built, just not my thing.

Epic build quality and reliability. I enjoy OSX, so that's a good point. On the crushingly negative end, horribly overpriced and underpowered and doesn't fair well compatibility wise annoyingly often.

As for the mac pro, overpriced, less underpowered than the macbooks, but it looks stupid as hell. Awesome form factor though if you're looking for something really tiny

I like the form factor of the Mac Pro and it makes for great portability for traveling with a workstation computer. They do sell small portable monitors as well at decent resolutions.

If i had need for OSX i may have got one, but i haven't seen a need for it as my PC can run any type of program that i need it to, plus i can build a nice fancy PC for less, and there's way more choice for customization and upgrades.

Definitely not for games though. That would just be a waste of money as it's primarily for workstation use, it has overpriced hardware and there is a significant lack of games for OSX compared with Windows anyway.

I think if you are going to utilize it for what it really is designed for then yes, its probably worth it, but chances are that you will not use it for a company use, more as a personal use and then i would have to say going with a custom build would be the better option.

nah, even with me rendering tons of stuff and playing Titainfall all at the same time,my rig stays under 54 degrees Celsius most of the time and never peaks past 57 degrees Celsius. I think you will be fine :D

it looks like both will fit in the Cube DS just fine. Im just basing this off the pics but it does look like a GPU that is 13 inches will fit and the Titan Black is 10.8 inches. The case looks like it has potential for good airflow but at stock I would get Blower style Titan blacks only( which I believe is the only way you can get the Titan blacks, that will minimize the heat output between components and should stay at a good system temp.

Thanks man maybe 60% of getting a custom computer where i sucrifice  the possibility of carrying it around.

40% i will buy a mac pro which i can carry and is a good pc

Also as i said are the dual w500 have the same performance as the r9 280x? if yes then i will buy a mac pro and 2 monitors?

Also which is better w500 or nvidia titan blacks? :D

While the new Mac Pro looks sleek and sexy its design is extremely dysfunctional. I think this picture sums it up.

Mac-Pro_2013_Mac-Pro_2013.jpg

The Mac Pro 2012 was Apples last truly expandable piece of hardware. The fact that you need 50 million addons to expand the new Mac Pro ruins the point of it being small, sleek and sexy. They built in a carry handle which I don't get... Why would you carry a workstation around with you? I suppose its good if you travel but if you have to heap around all the extension as well... Plus it's really overpriced.

On another note though it is remarkable how silent and cool it runs.

yes i know that the 2012 mac pro was better but it was huge. Also i want to be carried around to my friends house so i can show him my programmes and stuff like that.

I have already a cd drive which i wont be using and for storage i have 3tb total. I know is overprice but as i said 60% chance to build my own computer. and just take a fractal design r4 and have a solid computer.

40% of bying a mac pro is lighter easy to carry around and is good.

For me which i will be doing development for apple and other companies like razer i need a good pc. Also i will be using adobe aftereffect and making youtube videos. Also 3d modelling

What do you think?

Well if memory serves (I might be wrong on this) but to create an application for iOS/OSX don't you need to write and compile the code on OSX? So that might be a be a positive of the Mac Pro. If your gonna be taking it about I suppose that is another positive but I wouldn't walk through the streets with a Mac Pro, if your going to be throwing it in the back of a car maybe you could just build a mini-itx PC in a case like the Bitfenix Prodidy or LianLi case with a handle. Pretty sure the Mac Pro can handle rendering perfectly fine but again you could build a pc which does this perfectly plus it's very expandable and upgradable.

No problem bro :) and there is no w500 only the w5000. The w5000 is a workstation GPU, the 280X is a gaming GPU. Depending on if you are intending to do more work then play or play more then work will depend on which is right for you. The W5000 is great and will out perform the 280X in rendering and 3D cad work but is not a gaming GPU. You can still play games with the w5000 but your FPS will be alot lower then you will get with the 280X. I guess what im trying to say, pertaining to gaming is that the w5000 will not give you a great gaming experience. Sorry if i confused you there.
