P35Gv2 vs G56JR vs GS60

Go to solution Solved by amr-213,

I think you should go with MSi GS60 or the GS70 or The yet to be released Lenovo Y50 , these are the Best Slim gaming laptops

I'm in the market for a new laptop.

Gigabyte P35Gv2, ASUS G56JR, and MSI GS60 are the three i'm considering right now, not so much G65JR because of the weight

I just want some opinions on these laptops

(no i don't want razer blade, the lack of ports is just sad, even tho it's a really nice laptop)

Where in the world do you live?  Newegg had a REALLY good deal, (1789$) for an i7 4700mq, gtx 870m, 256gb SSD+ 1tb HDD, and 16gb of ram for an asus

( I think you'll have to change some of the settings yourself)

I'm in Taiwan, don't think i'm in newegg's service locations

Edit:the thing is i want portability, that's why I chose those three (Gigabyte P35Gv2, ASUS G56JR, and MSI GS60)

I'm currently using a 17" 6lb laptop, and i find the weight and size too annoying

the GS70 is slightly too big, while the new Lenovo Y50 looks quite nice, it's still not available, which might be a problem as i'll be needing it within a month, so the Y50 isn't really an option atm

just out of curiosity, why did you recommend the GS60 over the P35Gv2? GPU wise isn't the P35Gv2 slightly better (GDDR5 4GB vs GDDR5 2GB)?

look the P35Gv2 has the same GPU 860m and i don't think you will get the added benefit of +2GB for 1080p Gaming and i think the GS60 looks better and Msi has more experience in laptops more than gigabyte ,, and better keyboard and multi color

and if you want there is a forum just for it http://forum.notebookreview.com/msi/742589-msi-gs60-ghost-ghost-pro-thread.html
