That's some good looking ram

it is :P its the 2400mhz version of the ram i've been using. this has blue lights instead of yellow. its 2400mhz cl10 xmp. i haven't got it yet but it is in the post so ill be able to see how much difference it makes when it gets here :)

seriously i would get 3200mhz. after 2933mhz the prices are silly.  :( i will oc the 2400 as far as it will go. i'm hoping for 2666 or 2800 cl11  :)

one of my fav FM2+ m/boards and if i could afford it i wanted to do a m-atx build with one.

just thought it wouild go nice with the m/board gold and metal theme,

Dang 2500mhz, still wanna see testing with some 3000mhz

i'm actually benching now with the athlon 740 and i am at 2519mhz but with cl10 instead of  cl11! i wasn't expecting that from a cpu. meanwhile the a4 4000 apu can't even hold the ram at 2000mhz cl11! i'll post scores up at some point tonight but maybe tommorrow depending on how late it gets. :D

here are the a4 4000 results from last night. the memory controller is shocking on this apu so i have to lower the ram a lot when its overclocked. even when it was stock i couldn't really get the ram  past 1866 :(. still beat some previous score though.

it has begun, because asus haven't got there arse into gear to get the crossblade out. it will be being build this week with the a6 5400k and the stock cooler for now. this is stage 2.

 

future stages will include another 2tb hdd for a nas usage, a decent cooler, a sounds card with digital out, a quad core apu and some more ram.

Why get a sound card if you are gonna use digital out?

its a bit of a pain to work in, but its a very nice case. i wouldn't want anything smaller.

 

the only bad things about it that could be improved is the screws coming in none resealable bags when the budget psu has a reusable bag for 4 screws. also one of the 2 included fans makes a ticking sound when it spins, this does bother me much as i have bought some pwm akasa 120mm Piranhas, but its pretty bad quality control for a £150 case.

I wish the case wasn't so exspensive :( I might still buy it tho

indeed it is terribly expensive. you can get steel ones that look the same for much less, but this one was exactly the correct size.
