YOUR INSIDE TRACK ON PAX EAST

Guys there's going to be a ton of awesome stuff going on at PAX East this year, and this thread will be a summary of everything we're doing with Intel in and around the show!

... aaaand there's more good news! Even if you aren’t lucky enough to be at the show in Boston, you can STILL participate in some of the amazing deals and giveaways!

GIVEAWAYS: Three contests you don’t want to miss

  • Linus Media Group is giving away an ASUS tablet to one lucky winner. It’s easy to enter: just tweet the answer to the question - What inspires you most about PAX East? Be sure to use #IntelInspire for a chance to win. Here are the full contest rules http://bit.ly/1hpsKHm
  • Big giveaways are happening on @IntelUSA Twitter where they’re playing a “Guess the System” game. All you have to do is follow @IntelUSA, check out the clues and guess the correct answer using #IntelClues. You could win a new system for yourself. And here’s a helpful hint: participating system manufacturers include CyberPower, Maingear, OriginPC and iBUYPOWER. Contest rules http://bit.ly/1hoDJkt
  • If you are at the show, visit the Intel booth #436. They are giving away an Intel 730 SSD, an Intel Core i7 and a bundle of software during the show to one lucky, randomly-drawn winner

Honestly I'd be more averse to Twitter giveaways if I *did* actually use my Twitter account...

If it's just a throwaway account, who cares if the feed is full of stuff you aren't interested in.

If you have twitter contest, you should have like rule that "You must have x ammount of tweets to enter" Since many people just do new account and try to win harder. I think like 500 is a solid limit for minimum amount of tweets

It would be pretty cool if they Linus media group lads came to Aus.

I wonder if Intel will release the 4970X at PAX East. when do they usually release new SKU's. I have never really paid attention to the date.

At least we will get some funny outtakes and videos from the event to watch on YouTube.

1. Yes it would be good if they did.

2. We'll have to wait and see.

I wish Linus and Slick would come to Australia. Maybe sometime in the future, but some kind of Australian computer company would probably have to sponsor their trip.

Nah, they'd have plenty of dough (of the money variety :D) to sponsor themselves. :P

I looked at what we had to do and saw that hash tag crap and I have no clue what I am to do because of that.

Ok now I looked further into it and it seemed like a real pain in the butt and was going to do it but now I see this ...

Both contests are US ONLY!!! Linus, Slick and anyone else associated with Linus Media Group you are a Canadian for crying out loud! Wth?
