A penguins Review of the Corsair K40

Lil Chillbil

So I bought a corsair k40 at Fry's for $79.99 I overpayed but i'm going to disregard that in my review. To start things off if your new to corsairs lineup of keyboards, it goes k30, k40, k50, k60 etc up to k95. Now whats special about this keyboard vs. even a lot of the higher end models is that with this keyboard it offers corsairs 16.8 million color pallet.

As of right now only the k40 and k50 offer this, I'm sure it will be added to the higher end models later but for now the k40/50 is where its at if you want a cheap keyboard that you can make all the different colors of the rainbow (not at once its all or nothing should be duely noted) now this is a more budget oriented keyboard so its not mech keyswitches its all rubber dome thruout the board. But for me it doesn't bother me, its the nicest rubber dome keyboard i've ever used and its lovely to type and game on.

and for the linuscattips fans the box is optimized and built from the ground up for optimum cat napping action!!!.

I find myself actually using pink as my color of choice when in the dark gaming, its not to harsh on the eyes as say a green or harsh red is.

Some of the drawbacks of the keyboard, would it kill them to update the firmware to allow for a gradiant rainbow theme? also who the world thought it would be a good idea to not put rubber feet on the slanted stands.

Hope you enjoyed this penguins terrible review of the corsair k40, I feel like I overpayed for it but hell the keyboard is gonna be with me for years, the media keys are a nice touch and if you can get it with a rebate or something then I would feel it would be much more justified paying this price for a rubber dome keyboard.

Stay frosty,

What the, did you take that keyboard back in time to 2000 and take that picture? That dell dimension case, the palm PDA box. Which is my way of saying, looks awesome!

its lovely, all of the keys take the same amount of force to press. Its either the worst mech keyboard in the world or the GREATEST MEMBRANE IN EXISTANCE
