Is The ASUS P8Z77-V LX LGA 1155 a good motherboard for a gaming rig

Go to solution Solved by ViruZ_HUN,

Hello,

I wanted to know if the ASUS P8Z77-V LX LGA 1155 was a good motherboard for my gaming rig

Rest of my rig

EVGA GeForce GTX 780 SuperClocked

Intel i5 4670k

8GB Ram

3TB Seagate HDD and 250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD

750W Power Supply (I know this is overkill but i want to go sli 780's in the future probably after Christmas)

Corsair H100i AIO Liquid Cooler along with a few Corsair SP120 fans throughout my case

I do plan on overclocking but not EXTREME OVERCLOCKING (probably bring the 3.4GHZ up to around 4.2ish)

Thanks,

Jake

a LGA 1150 CPU wont fit in a LGA 1155 motherboard

Plus you should just bump up to Haswell and do yourself a generous favor by future-proofing your rig for another generation or two.
