Good Gaming Laptop

Ham1234

My friend is looking for a gaming laptop under $1000 USA and he plans on playing games like Hawken.  He also would use it for school work so it has to be on the thinner side.  Any suggestions?

Corsair 350d, Asus Gryphon Z87, Intel i5 4670k 4.5 GHz, Corsair H100i, Corsair Vengence 16gb 1600 MHz,

AMD Radeon 260x, Corsair CX600, OCZ Vetex 450 128gb, Seagate 2 TB

I just recently bought the Lenovo G505s for someone...very decent for the price and will play BF4 on medium settings.  Highly recommended for the price.  I was jealous I don't have one for gaming when not on my desktop.

AMD Radeon R9 290X / AMD FX-8320 / Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 / Samsung 830 128GB / Seagate 7200RPM 3TB / Corsair HX 850W / BitFenix Shinobi XL / CPU & GPU Watercooled - Thick Triple 360 Rad

I had alienware M14x R2 AM14XR2-6111BK 14.0-Inch, This is probably one of my most intelligent buys. Through the entire purchasing process, I was subjected to everyone's opinion of "but you can buy a laptop for $700! Why would you spend so much money for one?!"

Well, quite simply, when it comes to technology, I'm all about class. My Alienware M14x delivers every time.

Mine is in Nebula Red, and when it boots up, it puts the Enterprise to shame. Facial recognition software to login? You better believe it. Personalised name plate on the base? Uh-huh. Feeling of immense satisfaction of the overall quality of keystrokes, finishes and reliability? Constant.

The fact is yes, it's very expensive for a 14 inch laptop (and relatively heavy), but I have taken it everywhere with me for work (and LOVE seeing the expressions on unexpecting faces as it comes to life) and can still use it at night for hardcore gaming marathons.

If you like your computers, I can't recommend this highly enough. Thanks AW!! found is this:

big bag and a custom gaming PC in a mini atx format to be carried around at school.

he can either bring a small monitor or connect it to the one's at his school.
