help with HDMI port switch for console

Symbolz

If you have just standard displays 12bit colour support is sufficient.

One would think you would know if you have anything greater as they fetch a nice premium on your wallet.

i have a ips lg monitor

What Keel is saying, is that if you had a monitor or display any higher that 12-bit. You would know as they are extremely expensive. Used mostly in higher end colour work and video editing enviroments. That switch will be more than fine! :D

I personally use http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Port-1080P-HDMI-Switch-Switcher-Splitter-Video-Selector-Hub-Box-4-HDTV-PS3-CY-/281194674789?pt=US_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item4178823a65 for testing consoles that I repair. Almost a tenth the price of the the switch you linked. I bet both are made by the same assembly line in China.
