A good laptop for Minecraft

Right now I'm in the process of buying a new laptop and I mainly want it for heavy web browsing, but I also want to be able to play Minecraft smoothly with settings maxed. What laptop can I get in the 1 - 1000 dollar range that has a nice 1080p screen and isn't too chunk? I don't want to have a huge chunky of plastic to carry around when I'm not playing Minecraft. Thanks!

Well a HD 4000 laptop gets over 60 FPS and a 4600 laptop is slightly better so just get an intel i5 with Hd 4600 its fine for Minecraft.

So basically what I should ask now is: What are the basic specs that are necessary to run Minecraft well? Just by looking at the comments it seems like intel graphics are fine, and that as long as I get an M series i5-i7 cpu instead of a U series Intel cpu I should be fine. And from there I can find a laptop that I like with a nice HD display.

Pretty much any modern laptop will play minecraft, so the only question is finding one with a. 1080p display. Hell, $500 laptops will run it.

Anything with more RAM. So that you won't get rendering based slowdowns. 8GB and you should be good.

15 inch.

Lenovo y510P looks like the best deal for you, it has a nice keyoard to. Also it can be upgraded with an EXTRA GPU bay.

There some decent youtube videos about this notebook (sorry no Linus videos  :o )

It cost in my country about € 900,- which is a steal in my eyes.

There are 2 versions of Y510P

"old" version with GT750M/SLI

"new" version with GT755M/SLI

You can buy SLI or the Single GPU solution

Minecraft needs a good CPU, i.e. Intel CPU which has fast single thread performance. That is really all that matters. My old MacBook Pro with Geforce 320M could run Minecraft graphically, it only struggled due to the CPU (Core 2 Duo) when I was hosting my own server at the same time.
