So, I recently got a Titan Black. I didn't like the colour of the cooler, so I painted it black, I also didn't like the green 'GeForce GTX' logo, but I didn't know any way to change it because I thought it was made of green rubber/plastic and used a green LED. After some research this morning, I found out that it's actually made out of clear rubber and uses a white LED with a thin layer of paint to make it light up green. I found a forum where people were discussion how to change it, and it seemed like the best way was to sand off the paint. So, I got started.

I didn't actually take a picture of the logo before hand, but I'm sure everyone knows what they look like. I didn't intend to make any kind of log/process thingy for this at first, but changed my mind part way through, so here you go.

Starting off:

Progress

Finished the rest of the letters and cleaned up the overall finish

Logo back in the card. Time to reassemble the rest

Card back together

Card in the case. I apologise for the random and messy cables, I plan on getting another card soon and can't be bothered to take the cable that is already there out and redo them (:

Lights on! Pretty pleased with how it came out. Pictures aren't the best as it was kind of rushed and I was using my phone.

I'm nearly done with this card now. Just waiting on my custom backplate to be delivered and it'll be finished

Gorgeous! Only suggestion I have is to smooth out some of the cuts seen in the last picture.

Yeah, they're not brilliant, but it was very DIY and low budget for that xD To be honest, it's hard to notice unless you look at them up close.

People should sand off the green and start painting over that in the colors they want if that's the case.

I've seen a few where people have done this, but it's hard to get it clean and without any bleed from the white LED.

I don't mind the green LED, but it's just that it didn't fit into my system (:

Looks good but raspy. What grit sandpaper did you go down to?

Just used 180. Could have gone and got some finer grit, but I'm going to have the LEDs on almost all the time, so I won't notice it. Maybe I'll do it when I get my second card

Not really. A lot of people have said that they prefer how it looks over the original, so maybe I increased the value (;

If not, I can always just buy the ACX cooler for it and then sell it like that.

I don't know if it's reference, but they should be able to custom make one. I'm assuming that they're metal, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll let you know when mine arrives

The power editions aren't reference, I have a 670 PE. THey have a 'front plate' on the cooler side of the PCB for extra rigidity though

That looks so much better. I'm thinking of buying a 780, would you be able to do it with that too?

Haven't done any research at all on this but shouldn't see a problem in that. They use the same cooler as far as I know.

Looks great by the way, will definitely remember this if I should get a high-end Nvidia graphics card one day.
