So when you connect to WiFi you see the bars turning black? But when you open Safari or an other browser it says that you are not connected to the internet?

Try going to system preferences -> Network settings and then deleting the wifi and ethernet adapters and recreating them by clicking the "+" in the bottom left.  You can also try going to advanced settings and doing a DHCP renew/release.

Even a DHCP release didn't work? Try getting network info off connected computer and manually enter the IP, mask, and subnet for addresses that you know that are functioning. And diagnose that way.

Check your proxy settings, there may be an issue there.
