Blue Shadow (750D) (Done)

AMD Lover
Go to solution Solved by AMD Lover,

Im gonna start a new post for everybody whos still looking.

This is my build that i started on at the beginning of the year. Its taken a while and its still not finished. Right now i just kinda get buy with a 5400rpm HDD but that is all going to change. I plan to put 2x 500GB Samsung 840 EVOS in RAID 0 in this thing. If i get a little more money this summer than i think im going to get well then its going to be 780 and full custom loop time. This build will continue to be updated throughout the next 3-4 months with more and more little and maybe big touches. Also a STEEL midplate is being designed by me right now. Should be done in a month or two.

Well i used regular spray paint but i recommend Plasti Dip (Used it on a system after this one and its so safe that you can actually paint your WHOLE motherboard. **HOWEVER there is still risks with plasti dip and i don't recommend painting your whole motherboard**

But if your just painting your heatsinks its great because it looks like paint but if your motherboard ever breaks you can peal it right off

FYI: If you look closely theres a scrape on the bottom of the heatsink and i have some white going on the black so im thinking about painting the whole thing white then putting a blue line on it. When you replace the heatsink just use IC Diamond or some other non-conductive Thermal Compound.

Sorry, I haven't looked into painting the heatsinks much, hope you don't mind, but

Do you have to remove the heatsinks when painting? That would be kinda a pain (I'm looking into soley painting the yellow)

Painting the whole heatsink white is a great idea but it already looks great right now.

Yeah you probably could i would just get something to put around the heatsink like cardboard so non gets on the PCB

  • 2 weeks later...

picking up this case and h100i on friday, how easy is it to build in / how easy is the h100i to install?

Very, very, very easy. Like as easy as putting the radiator up the filter and screwing it in.

Very clean build AMD Lover. I love the color combination of the sleeved cables, those colors always work well together. The ambient lighting aswell is a great touch, it's not too overpowering. Well done, A++. Just a little observational jab at your name, AMD Lover..but uses an Intel i7 :P. It's a great choice though.

Maybe he is wiser than his name suggests? :P
