To enjoy all the best vendor exclusive technologies, we built a PC that runs SLI with two GTX 780 Ti's and Crossfire with two R9 290X's at the same time. If that sounds ridiculous, that's because it is... But not because it didn't work...

I saw that red "LinusTech" name in the list of people logged in and had a feeling a new video was imminent.

 

I like that you pointed out the similarities between console exclusives and GPU exclusive.

 

And all that mantle talk. Hey Linus, about that....

I can be a cynical a**hole at times. I apologize if I cause any offence at those time. I also occasionally have issues communicating my point. Extreme introversion + Photographic memory + Some other things.

OT: That's actually extremely cool, but I agree with the.. Why do we have all these "exclusives" it should be about the experience you get, not what you buy.

Actually it idles at 110W... Not half bad considering...

It's not idling when it's under load is it :P

is it possible to use the compute function for each card for accelerating editing at the same time?

I didn't even know you could CrossFire and SLI in the same compute so I'm still a little shocked about that.  :lol:

Nice work Linus. And I agree with the whole Exclusives thing you were talking about. Im currently debating about getting a 270 or a 760. It's put my faith in Mantle(I don't play BF4 so I'm waiting for other titles) or G-Sync. I think I'll be going with Nvidia because they have already proven that their technologies work and I can't say the same thing about AMD.

I thought you didn't believe in 4-Way CrossSLI? :P
