Corsair Obsidian 250D Thread

NCIX: http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=93181

My unboxing & review of the Corsair Obsidian 250D is here! I hope you guys enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed this tiny little gaming devil of a case. I do have a couple of criticisms for it (I outline those in the video) but other than my small complaints, it's quite outstanding.

Was the third viewer on this vid thanks to the new LTT browser plugin, it's really nice. As for the case: fair video, but it'd be nice to see what the temps were like in such a crammed environment, especially for the H100i.

I love it. It's so sexy and yet another awesome mITX case. Maybe comparisons with Node 304 or Elite 120 Advanced wiil be coming, because they're so similar, but with their prons and cons.

AND: it's just strange when people get excited when a new thing is announced. But when it comes out to the market - meh. Proboably there's too much stuff on the market now.

Apparently I'm in the minority that really like this case.

It's gorgeous and spacious. I would definitely get this for a HTPC :)

I'm really loving the fact that case manufacturer's are starting to pay attention to the smaller form factors more, I'm especially loving that corsair kept with that great design they've got going on.

Now for my next lot of PC's I have have a 900D server, 750D main rig, 350D LAN build and a 250D for a nice media PC!

... Now just to get more nice looking ITX boards

Awesome but not enough expansion slots for my 2 gpus on a ITX board. Overwise it would be PERFECT!

Waiting for more reviews on H440 now :) Might be my next case

Wish the rest of the Obsidian family had the same implementation of the 5.25 bay like the 250D. Because like the 750D and 350D, if you install anything on the optical bay it won't sit flush. Instead it's gonna be recessed and won't look aesthetically good.

Thanks for actually doing a build in it! I really liked the design but was wondering just how much could be crammed in there and how it'd look filled up.

I'm pretty convinced about it now and if I ever did a mini ITX I'd probably use this case.

mini-ITX boards have just one PCIe slot. Many cases put two slots in there, because they've realised, that the majority of the people are just using this slot for GPUs.

You should consider going with an mATX case

I love mini ITX cases, I have a CoolerMaster Elite 120 Advanced. I starting to thinking about changing my case and  the Corsair Obsidian 250D could be an option.  Any suggestions?

You should put in an annotation or something to mention that graphics cards with coolers that are taller than the height of a standard PCB will not fit. The heat pipe of a DCUII 780/780Ti/290/290X will hit the roof of the case and you can't get the panel on.

Also Linus if you have your H100i with the hoses on the other sides it's easier to route.

350D master race.

When I saw this case at the Corsair Suite in a video I was surprised they actually thought about releaseing this 250D case. It's pretty small.

Would it be possible to fit a 7950 GIgabyte card in one of these? If so which mini atx board would be good for a am3+ socket and are there any itx boards with 4 ram stick slots?

I think you misunderstood me. I meant the 250D is to small for me and i'd probably go for a H440 or a 350D

That moment when mITX cases have better watercooling support than your ATX case(without modding)...
