If you are only using it for gaming, then I suggest you buy 16GB of RAM since it will last you a long time as games currently don't use much. You can spend the money saved on RAM on something else, such as a better motherboard, since RAM prices have almost doubled recently.

@Mo5 Well 3 years is good...

@Kang i'm in tunisia... well in Tunisian Dinars it will cost me ~7000 TND

@RageDev Well you're right because i'm not so comfortable with this motherboard and with those 32 Gb of ram... i'd probably do what you just said.. i'm thinkin' of buying a better mobo like Quad-sli mobo for later upgrades..

At 1080p that system is going to be fine for quite a while - I'm still fine maxing most things out at 60fps on a 1080p monitor on my 660. However, I do have a couple of adjustments I'd make to that partlist. Firstly, is there any specific reason for using a WD RED drive? Those are optimised for NAS usage where they are surrounded by multiple other hard drives, and in this case it's the only one. I'd recommend going with a different one and perhaps saving some money or getting a little more performance. Secondly, I'd recommend changing the case. With a system this high end I'd put a little more money into that, but I can't really recommend one as you haven't given me a budget.

It's a powerful and no compromise build so far. It's overkill imo and I'd say you're paying a premium for a bit more performance over cheaper but not much worse options.

You have such powerful system components and such a mediocre monitor. There's no point paying so much and getting a sub-par experience. You stare and directly interact with your peripherals, not your rig.

The psu is overkill even for sli 780 Ti's and there's no point getting so much ram for gaming.

@RageDev Well you're right because i'm not so comfortable with this motherboard and with those 32 Gb of ram... i'd probably do what you just said.. i'm thinkin' of buying a better mobo like Quad-sli mobo for later upgrades..

Quad sli scales pretty terribly and is pretty much a waste of money if you care about value considering how relatively little performance you get for the money.

Good build, I hate asus though, but good build, just consider the ram thing as stated above, 16 GB is plenty for gaming.

It's an excellent gaming build.

Here's a couple suggestions that you may feel free to ignore:

-Get the lower wattage variant,

---Saves you some monies.

-Get a high-end air cooler such as the NH-D14, Dark Rock Pro 2, PH-TC14PE etc.

---Saves you some monies, high-end air coolers tend to be superior to 120mm AiOs in almost every aspect (acoustics, performance etc.)

-Get a 1440p monitor such as the U2713HM or cheap Korean monitors such as the Yamakazi Catleap.

And one last thing, 8 RAM sticks on a Maximus VI Gene... Interesting...

If you regard my facts as wrong, feel free to rectify it.

If you regard my opinions as wrong, feel free to ignore it.

You're one wealthy Tunisian it seems, I literally know no one in Tunisia that would spend more than 1000 TND on a computer.

In fact I know Tunisian teachers that make less than half of what you want to spend on this system a year.

In any case, there is a lot of wasted money in this configuration, you won't need more than 8GB of RAM to play any game, 16GB would be overkill but "perhaps" more future-proof, 32GB of RAM for gaming would be money down the drain.

For graphics you would only need a single R9 290 or a single GTX 780 to play any game on maximum settings at 1920x1080, for 2560x1440 you might want to consider adding a second card for CrossfireX or SLI.

The 780 Ti and R9 290X are over-priced products, you pay a significant premium over the 780 and the 290 and gain 10-12% performance improvements.

On to the CPU, the i7 4770K is 50% more expensive than the i5 4670K and is less than 3% faster in games.

There are only three differences between the i7 and the i5, the i7 is clocked 100mhz higher, has a slightly larger L3 Cache and supports hyper-threading.

The benefits of the higher clock & the larger cache for gaming is negligible at best and hyper-threading very rarely improves game performance and sometimes even degrades performance.

For pure gaming, there would not be a noticeable difference between Haswell and Haswell-E. If you had to wait, get Broadwell.

No. Not 5 months. Dual 780ti's are very powerfull. They can easily last 2 years with 4k at ultra settings.

Not at 60fps, so count out any online gaming as you will get slaughtered by a guy with a single 290 and a 1080p monitor ;)

He said 'smoothly' which means 30+ fps.

30FPS is not smooth in any online multiplayer games, let alone the huge input lag.

Drivers cannot make a GPU magically 100% faster, as that is what is needed to have a 2.5 year life span at playable FPS.

I mention online gaming as that is my forte.
