Thoughts on my first choice of monitor purchase?

My budget is 200$ so this is convenient for me. I also would like to maximize my overall frames.

200$ monitor with a 700$ GPU?! someone should re-evaluate his purchases ;)

the GTX980ti is such a poweful GPU it DESTROY 1440p gaming...soooo much overkill for 1080p it,s not even funny..in fact the card can play any game at 4K on it's own at 60FPS+ if you're willing to tweak some settings...that's how powerful it is!

I did some looking around and came up with the LG Electronics UM57 25UM57 25-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor and I was wondering if it was a good one to buy as I have no experience. And if I was to buy it, how much of a performance impact would it make compared to non-ultra wide 1080p?

30%. more pixels...around 15% less frames.

your other post mention you have a 980ti which is NOT meant for 1080p gaming..ultrawide or not...2560x1440 would be BETTER.

I realized this as my pc I built was meant to be good for 2-3 years. I have another thread open right now discussing how to overclock.
