Whats the point of having the fans on this side?

You only need a half an inch of room for proper air movement to go through the rad?

So long as there's a large enough gap, it'll work (albeit with the fan speed higher)

I received this case recently and have been scratching my head now that I got it.  I see all these pictures with the fans being on the windowed side...but there isn't any airflow holes for the fans to push or pull the air to or from...so why do i see this so much?

Looks. Personally I have never see nthat before. They are always in the bottom section which is meshed

I think the fans are a couple cm from the side panel away and blow through a rad with an exhaust on the other side.

The air will go through, but it's just pushing hot air. Probably the same air that was just pushed through, drastically reducing it's efficiency.
