Problem with installing Office 16 Preview

Go to solution Solved by Beltboy,

You can't re-install to get another 3 months, the designed it so once your 3 months are up you need to purchase a copy, right now your in a situation where the old install isn't completely removed.

Do you have any office software installed at the moment? you could try manually finding any office files/reg entries left behind but this can be very dangerous if you don't know what your doing.

Hello Forum,

As you read in the title, I'm having problems installing the Office 16 Preview. The thing is that the 3 month trial period was going to end so I thought I'll uninstall and reinstall so I get another 3 months. But when I try to install it, it shows me this: http://imgur.com/nMWZBPz

According to Microsoft on the help page, I can uninstall it using their tool but the tool says that it couldn't find Office (since I uninstalled). I also cleaned the registry using CCleaner and the Office gunk did come out but the issue is still there. I'd like you people to solve this.

Thanks! :)

I didn't purchase Office 13 since 16 was going to come out this year end so I don't have other versions of Office. I guess you can't reinstall it after the 3 months end as you said. :(

If you get an office 365 licence you can install 2013 now and upgrade it to 16 when its released properly.

My dad doesn't want to pay for it every year that's why I'm waiting for Office 16. 30GB of OneDrive storage and Office Online is enough for now.

AHHHHHHHHH... Rent the software! what a concept! Although M$ is not the first to come up with this concept (as it was conceived by the accountants to increase the revenue flow over time) it is a sad reality of what software is coming to. It is more desirable to have a constant revenue stream that is "Built in" over having to spend more $$ on writing new software to get the increase in sales and the steady stream of $$$!

Did I help you to fix your problem or at least did offer somewhat valuable advice? Consider giving my post a "informative" or "thumbs up".
