Gamepc for €600?

Go to solution Solved by penthadix,

How much does the build that I suggested cost at your retailer of choise ?

this is where I moved the topic, I am now still working on the current list ;)

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/392914-gaming-pc-budget-the-netherlands/

also I "upgraded" the intel 4440 to the 4460 (€0.40 cheaper even)

Dear people with knowledge I don't posess ;)  ,

I am planning to build my own gaming pc, games I play are games like League of Legends and Dota 2, but also high-end games like Crysis 3, The Wither 2 and 3, Metro 2033 etc.

my budget is €500-750 (optic drive and sd-card reader are transferred from old pc) and I dont have preferance for any brand.

This only applies to the pc, other hardware is already owned (monitor, keyboard, mouse etc)

first question I have: Is it even possible to build a pc which is able to run those games for this budget?

second question: Which build do you guys recommend?

I believe in you guys.

Sincerely,

Melvin

Your high end games will be difficult.

Do you need a monitor and OS in this build?

why would I need two monitors? I do have some spare standing, but I mostly play on one monitor.

Btw, I live in The Netherlands (so ordering at .de doesn't really matter)

The wrong here is legendary,

Don't use PCpartpicker for europe,

For 600€ you can either get a good cpu and average GPU, leaving yourself space to easly grow later or get an average cpu and gpu that would limmit you later on.

So either intel + cheap amd ( something like i5 + R9 380 ) or amd ( something like 8320 + R9 290 )

Are you planning on upgrading the pc regularly or would you like to buy it and keep it for a few years ?

Well you where using pcpartpicker germany,

so this what I would get, please take all that I suggest and put it into www.mindfactory.de or www.caseking.de ,

http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/3FTct6

For some reason they don't have the R9 380 / R9 285, I would substitute the R7 370 for those.

Now that is a cpu heavy build so that you can upgrade the GPU exclusively later, you could go for an amd build and get a better gpu, but then you will botleneck any future gpu upgrade.

If you could save an extra 50€, that would give you a lot better price to performance.

http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/asus-radeon-r7-370-strix-review,1.html

I would really go for a 280x / 285 / 380 / other better card if you can

Well you get better performance with the ssd, and adding a hdd is easy, whereas reinstalling everything if you buy a ssd down the line is a bit irritating.

But it depends if you want the extra space of the HHD or the extra speed of the SSD

So you can add 50€ ?

I can make the budget 600-750 I presume (I'll add it up in my first post as well now)
