Dual band is the best if you have multiple devices.

How many bands should someone get? 1 2 3 etc.... ?

dual band is the minimum nowadays

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
