Cherry MX Switch LED Color Changers?

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

I like the idea but I don't think it would work that we'll. I too have red leds. I'd love blue, but I'm sure a blue filter would just make a dull purple or brown colour lol

I think it would work, but only with white backlight.  The way light works, trying to explain it easily, red light can't pass well through, lets say a green filter or a purple filter, but can only really go through a red filter because it is only emmitting red light.  Same goes for green or blue, they can only pass through a filter of their color because that is their color, and the color is specific to their wavelength.  However, since white light isn't a specific color, it is all the colors of light mixed, it can go through any color filter it wants, since it is technically all of those colors.

That didn't really work out how I wanted, but try to read it anyways :P

I recently found these in a Massdrop email and I thought they were kinds cool:

I really wanted to get them, but I kinda have a problem. I have a Quickfire TK with red switches, so my LED's are red, and I feel that installing LED changers will make my keyboard look ugly. lol.

If anyone has LED color changers, can you give me a recommendation on these? Especially because the LED's are red.

(Also, does it change the way my switch feels when I bottom out?)

Thanks! :)
