If it was serious the GPU would not be working.

You should be alright, just see how it goes.

Holy shit my heart just stopped.  I (stupid, stupid, stupidly) touched my gpu, and heard a tiny static shock noise, albeit grounding myself.  The computer was on at the time, playing FEZ, and instantly the monitor went blank.  "Well shit," I thought, and had a mini-heart attack.  The computer luckily, after a few seconds of "no signal" on the monitor, rebooted and seems to be working fine atm, as I am writing this post on it and can see no issues so far.  So it's not fried.  But should I be worried?  Did this incident possibly damage it, or make problems I can have in the future after my warranty expires?  Please, please let me know.  Also, please don't tell me not to touch my gpu, I know.  I learned the hard way.

Wait, when you touch your GPU it's supposed to short? Because... My rig is on my floor, and I had to go inside my rig, and I brushed against it and didn't ground myself. :P

 

Anyways, it should be fine.

yeah it's just a simple short out. It's sorta like if your breaker shorted out, Nothing too serious.

Wait you touched your GPU while electricity was flowing through it? Did you shock yourself? Why am I the only one here more concerned about the OPs safety than the GPU?
