Gainward Phantom Cooler - How silent is it?

QwasJ
Go to solution Solved by Egoist,

It's loud as fuck.

A fellow of mine has got a 680 with the phantom cooler and it's hella loud.

Hi guys,

I was wondering wether Gainward's Phantom Cooler is quieter than other coolers or not. I think Asus, Msi, Evga & co have pretty efficient coolers, so the fans can run pretty slow with low noise. On the other hand, Gainward's cooler seems to be extremely silent, otherwise they wouldn't put the cooler on every card that comes out :D

Anyone has some links to reviews/tests? Or maybe even experience with this cooler?

I've seen a 770 phantom irl before, and it looks like one of the worst coolers on the market tbh. It isn't super loud, but its louder than most coolers.

Also, the spelling mistakes on their packaging are halarious.

Hey ive got the phantom 970, would not recommend it at all, it ramps up all the time. runs hot, cant over clock and is just all round not a good choice.

Hope this helps
