RAM upgrade € 60 (Belgium/Netherlands)

Redicat
Go to solution Solved by vlkn´,

Ok i need a real break through here now xo

So now i need faster ram 2x 8gb 1333 sticks itself since it doesnt combine, Right? jup i think i got it there.

If you REALLY need faster ram, you need to change ALL ram you got in your pc. (for whatever??!!)

If your mainboard has no problems with running 2 different brands or models of the brand it will run without problems.

You can "combine" different speeds, but the 1600mhz ram, will be clocked to the lowest ram speed, in your case 1333mhz.

That means, all of your 4 ramsticks will run @1333mhz.

Just get the ram you wanted to get, you won´t really see an performance increase.

Hey i'm in a lookout for value ram (price/performance ram)

I now have a 8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 1333MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard : ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP (2 RAM slots available)

The qwestion is, What if i choose to add ram with more MHz (more power) what will happen? Bottleneck in ram, Or will it just combine?

Budget: € 60 (Belgium/Netherlands) Watchout for shipping costs!

I'm using my ram for...
Gaming, Video Editing (1080p 30fps), Google Chrome tabs, Minecraft (MODDED too), Monitoring/OC programs such as ASUS GPU tweak CPU-Z GPU-Z ICT, Recording 1080p 30 or rarely 60 fps.

The ram with the higher mhz, will be bottlenecked. If it works with 2 different models/brands.
But in general, it´s not that big of a deal.

As @vlkn´' said it will work, but you won't find any 8gb kits for €60 shipping included.

Core i7 2600  Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3  EVGA GTX 970 FTW  16Gb 1600Mhz G.SKILL

    Samsung 500Gb 840EVO RAID0 Random 80GB HDD Corsair GS700 Corsair ArticWhite C70

Just overclock your RAM, there is a good chance it will work at stock voltage and if it's 1.5v and not stable just set it to 1.65v.

edit: unless you need more capacity, but €60 is not enough for 8Gb so and I wouldn't recommend running 3 dimms.

I can sell you 4Gb 2x2 Value Ram by Corsair, 1333Mhz shipped for 20€.

Ok seems great, But where is a link... how does it work?

Sweet, But the website looks ugly... Is there any way to proof that it is safe to buy at that shop?

I forgot you also can't overclock RAM with H77, sorry about that. I think that also means that your RAM is going to run at the speed of the slowest DIMM, in this case 1333MHz. Alternate is completely reliable, it's a well known shop for computer parts in the Netherlands and I have also bought things there myself.

It is always the best to get the same for 100% compatibility.

Yes your current cpu&mainboard only support dual channel, not quad channel.

Ok i need a real break through here now xo

So now i need faster ram 2x 4gb 1333mhz sticks itself since it doesnt combine, Right? jup i think i got it there.

That means Dual Channel old ram combines due binifits... So that means i need 2 sticks of 1333hmz to get as less bottlenecks as possible.

You can get this.

Or you will need to change ALL of your ram sticks!!

Edit: you can get higher mhz ram, but it doesn´t make sense, because it well be running @1333mhz
