Is this a good gaming build? Looking for ASAP advice and suggestions

Go to solution Solved by Hecknologist,

The main things I would tweak are taking the 3TB to 2TB, especially if the problems with it compared to the 2TB are still true, and changing the mobo. You can knock $50-100 off the mobo cost by getting one without the RoG brand on it. The gigabyte gaming 7 is $270 from mightyape, or if you really want to reduce the cost grab an asrock extreme 4 for $220 from alphacity (prices quoted from pricespy). Also you can reduce the amount of fans, having 2 in the front, 1 in the back and passive or single fan exhaust in the roof would be sufficient.

Is this a good futureproof gaming system.

I want this to last at least 3 years maxing out all the games at 60 fps+

*And I want to somehow reduce this build to $2900 or less if possible*

Don't buy all those extra fans, they're really unnecessary and removing then will drop you down to $2900.

The phantom 530 only comes with 2 fans

perhaps but that's all you need for cooling your system.

You can always take them out and buy some fans later if you do have temp issues but that is very unlikely.
