SLI different brand gtx 970

Go to solution Solved by theloveablemoose,

Hi guys. I have the following graphics cards:    https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp42972kr

                                                                         https://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn970g1gaming4gd

Would it be possible to SLI them? If so. What do i need to do to make that happen? The gigabyte 970 arrived before the evga one. I wanted 2 evga 790s, But couldn't find one when I bought the gigabyle one. It's too late to return the gigabyle one to newegg since I used the free game code with the card.

It'll work fine, just enable SLI in the nvidia control panel. For future reference any card of the same architecture and memory size (VRAM) will work fine.

I dont see why not hell a video Linus posted on his youtube channel the other day was a showdown between 3 970s vs 2 980s in SLI and his 970s were all 3 different brands. I think 1 was zotac the other was EVGA and the last was ASUS
