MWB and AVG didn't detect it. Type in "regedit" in your windows search bar, press ctrl + f, search for "oov.net" and delete "CMD".

whenever i start up my pc and open chrome, i am redirected to that site. how do i stop this?

Run Malwarebytes and after that adw cleaner. Looks like some kind of a malware.

  • Check whether you have any malicious programs

Check whether you have IP Re-routing on (caused by malicious software/prank by mate)

What is your homepage?

MalwareBytes is awesome

revert default home page to yours in setting s see if that works, otherwise if persistent reside with an trusted AV to remove malware plugin.

Use adw cleaner. I had the same problem and after a reboot it is fixed.

Np, I have no idea how I got it... I don't browse any malicious sites and I have AVG/MWB, neither detected it for some reason.
