Is it possible to cool the A8 7600(45W) without any fans?

Go to solution Solved by Ultimate0Player,

Thank you for your quick help. I am now sure, that my build will work.

I have a short question. Is it possible to cool the AMD A8 7600 without using a fan? Of course, I will install one for preventing overheating during 100% workload. Has anyone experience with cooling a 40-60 W TDP cpu/apu?

I want to use a big tower cooler like the Thermalright Macho or another one in this price range (about 50$), if you have suggestions. Also, I would use a mini ITX mainboard, but I think this doesn't affect cooling.

Thank you for your answer

Yes you can passively cool CPUs, there are coolers specialised at doing this though, like the zalman FX100 etc, that said 45w is not that much so a large tower might do a decent job

Actually, I've seen 65W core 2s use passive heatsinks before.

I am running a coolermaster 212+ on my GFs 7600 and it is cold! I think the case  airflow is enough to cool it let alone one fan on the sink.
