PS3 communication

NicekillBG
Go to solution Solved by minibois,

In the xbox you can make group alls/parties and stuff like that but im getting a ps3 and i dont want to talk with my friend threw the pc becouse i dont see why having them both switched on to communicate while the ps3 might have such a function so im just asking , how do i call my friend or add him in a group in the ps3?

Ah ok. You don't have a feature like you have on Xbox 360. There is a chat function, which is text only and not worth it.

All voice communication is done by the game you're playinf.

For example CoD is pretty decent, you can talk to anyone and you can mute anyone.

It works, but not the best.. Don't know about a whole lot of other games (except GTA: Online, which works.. Alright..)

Can someone send me a basic communication tutorial for like , how to call and talk with friends also if i connect a mic threw an adapter will it read it or i will have to do something with the options? I know you dont like consoles but yeah

I didn't know what to put here...

This is all very vague.. What do you mean with calling and such?
I have a ps3 and would love to help you, but I don't really get what you are asking.

You can't talk in group chats, like you can on the 360. On PS3 you can only talk in the same game lobby. Though you can cam/talk in a group chat, but not while in a game!

No, I don't. But if you want to talk whilst in the game, just start the headset, it's like that in all PS3 multiplayer games.

I have a Turtle Beach headset, but really any USB headset (and Mic I think) should work.

Yeah, you'll have to use some sort of USB adapter to connect it to the PS3 (if it has headphone and mic cable), then it should work just like a normal headset.
