Is this the correct Playlist? (Lynda.com)

Go to solution Solved by madknight3,

You should just jump in and get started. It's going to take time to develop both Java and Android development skills, whether separate or together. You'll still learn a lot and I expect you'll cover all, or most, of your basics.

Looking to get into developing Android apps, I learned that I must first learn Java. I've decided to use lynda.com to reach my goal, but I'm not sure where to start. I wish to know if you guys think this playlist is a one-way path to android development.

I worry because it only list the essential training for java, then immediately jumps into the Android SDK. Is java really not that important? I don't wan't to go through this course only to find out my java skills are beginner at best.

Note: I'm getting the Oneplus One for my birthday/Christmas (Really close together). While I wait, I wish to plan out my development track out.

Well, for learning JAVA, I use CodeAcademy. Check it out. It's free :)
And much better IMO for learning JAVA, if you really want to do it first.

Humpty Dumpty was pushed.
