So my second MSI R9 280X arrived today. Unfortunately for me I don't have another cable that goes from the power supply to the graphics card and I am having a really hard time trying to figure out what cable/adapters I need to buy.

 

I have a Corsair TX750 power supply and the MSI R9 280x requires an 8pin and 6 pin connector. Links and advice appreciated!

If you don't have an 8 pin, simply get this adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200420

 

No performance hit or damage to the card (unless you overclock A LOT)

Those are too expensive, especially when I only need one cord.

So you don't actually have a TX750? Because a TX750 isn't modular.

 

What model do you actually have? Your best bet may be ebay honestly.

He doesnt have any extra 6-pins. So He's looking at either finding some extra modular cables from someone, or, molex-6pin adapters (ugh).

When you say it isn't modular do you mean that the cables are all connected and it wouldn't be possible to be missing a cable? I was in a rush to work this morning so I didn't get a very good chance to look at the cables, is it possible it's just tucked in somewhere?

The TX750 (I had one Has 4 Connectors for graphics cards, each of your cards needs two. So.. I'd take a look and see if it's tucked in, otherwise someone would have had to chop it off
