Do I need an audio card?

I know that, I was just wandering if there is a major difference in quality between the case/ motherboard and a sound card.

Nothing noticable.

I was wandering if I needed an audio card as the case I am going to get has a headphone jack and so does the motherboard.

P.S. First time build.

No, the case front panel audio connects directly to your motherboard. Read the manual.

There is a cable that says HD audio on it. Just plug in into the HD audio plugs on your mobo. It should be near the USB 2.0 plugs

I once had one of these, now I've got this.
