Intel i7 4770 is running at high temps 55 C and corsair h100i is flashing red HELP!

Go to solution Solved by LemonSpice,

Then would not  the system overheat than beeing at 50~55 temp?

nope same thing happened to me exactly when he does prime 95 it will throttle to 2.3 ghz at 100c and when he puts the stock cooler on he will be amazed at how much cooler it runs

Intel i7 4770 is running at high temps 55 C. Im only runing at 2% max load but cpu temps are in the 50s C and corsair h100i is flashing red while fans are running at full speed non stop.

I'm running windows 8.1

Thanks

You know you don't have to make another thread.

Corsair Link sucks on Windows 8.1, and you can't change that.

Check the pump connectors (3 pin). Maybe the pump is dead.

If it was the CPu would be 80+  not 50~55 i think it works fine?

not on the h100i the red is reserved for when there is a system failure in the cooler

Not necessarily. The water will still be transferring some heat.
