Getting new headphones

Go to solution Solved by Guest Kloaked,

I would look at these instead.

The M40X is basically the same pair of headphones, but less expensive: https://www.dustinhome.no/product/5010780779/ath-m40x

The HD 518's will be better for gaming since they are an open design, which opens up the sound stage so you can pinpoint locations and stuff. The sound will be more immersive in other words, while playing games: https://www.dustinhome.no/product/5010610184/hd-518

So I decided to get new headphones for my pc. My budget was under 150 dollars or 1200 Norwegian krone. I generally play games and listen to music. So should I go with Creative Aurvana live! 2 or Audio Technica ATH-M50x?

And also do I need a sound card with my MSI gaming 5 motherboard?

Thanks in advance.

A sound card isn't needed, and the m50x's are amazing gaming headphones. So go with those

Can you link an online retailer that you'll be purchasing from, or are you buying in-store?
