Powering the R9 280

You'll be right either way. if it couldn't handle the draw, they wouldn't have put the split there.

Hi guys,

Might sound nood here but anyway. I will receive my R9 280 this week, and i checked at my PSU cable yesterday, Corsair CX750M. The PSU comes with 2 8 pins connector to 6+2 pins connectors.

Weird fact is that on the same wire, they split to 2 6+2 connectors. Is it safe to plug only one 8 Pins connector to the PSU and plug the 2 6+2 connector in the card ? Or do i need to put 2 separate 6+2 wires and leave the splitted connector hanging in the case ?

It's hard to explain but their is a photo, they are the first 2 cables on the left.

I'm just wondering if the wire can supply all the power by itself or it NEED to pass through 2 wires..

Anyway, have a great day  :)
