Cgminer won't start?

Go to solution Solved by Vitalius,

Well long live teamviewer!  The only thing i need to do is a bit of tweaking, now when i start it, the whole pc becomes really really unusable slow...

Lower both intensities by 1 then test and repeat until it's usable.

Hello, I just set up my CGMiner for Dogecoin. But when i want to start it via the .bat file it says --scrypt: Urecognized option.

Now i don't know what to do, here is my Bat file code: cgminer --scrypt -o Stratum etc. not going to give. -I 19,15 -g 1 -w 256,256 --thread-concurrency 16000,7500

Well...

One thing to note is that you giving us your worker username & password is only a bad idea if it's the same as your account username & password, which it shouldn't be. The worst thing that can happen if you give the worker one out is that someone else will mine with you. ... Which is a good thing. Just saying.

Is Stratum capitalized exactly that way? I don't think the S should be capitalized.

Stratum is in the code not capitalized...

Hmm, have you tried sgminer? It's a more updated version of cgminer since the author of cgminer wasn't interested in supporting GPU mining anymore. Here.

If you are using cgminer, it has to be 3.7.2 or older. Versions after that don't support GPU mining.

Simple questions first:

What hardware are you mining with?

Do you pay for electricity?

Then it is most certainly not worth mining. You will pay more in electricity than you will earn from mining with that hardware. It is not worth it.

I know, but it's for a project on school. I'm researching Cryptocurrencies... Therefore i want to start mining, not for the money. I knew from the beginning that it's not really worth it. But it's for science (almost hahahah)

Ah, alrighty then.

From what I remember when switching from CG to SGMiner, all I had to do was remove the --scrypt flag and SGMiner worked. What issues are you having?
