Recommend a mouse/mouse pad for gaming

Go to solution Solved by CloudySky,

The mice is dependent on your preferred style of grip on the mouse.

For FPS game, I suggest a Steel Series Sensei as a well-built laser mouse.

For mousepad, give the XTRAC PADS Ripper XXL a try.

Not sure about your preference with the weight of the mouse, but the Sensei is slightly heavier than other mouse (about 115g).

Currently I have Mionix Naos 3200 and Mionix Sargas 900. They are new but when I played WarRock (first-person-shooter game) I was very frustrated I that I can't get the right precision. The Sargas 900 increased my recoil adjustment and I had to pull down longer compared to my generic mouse pad which is rougher and has more friction than the Sargas 900. It's also harder now to re-acquire targets, like for example I have an enemy shooting at me (1v1 front-to-front); While I'm heavily compensating for the recoil and my crosshair goes out of line (IE im taking headshots and body shots causing the character to twitch or knod), it will be hard for me to re-acquire the target.

The Naos 3200 has a fairly long braided cable and my system unit is located above my monitor so the cable goes up and maybe this has some effect to the inaccuracy.

After I switched from gaming to work related and office stuffs, I noticed that the inaccuracy is evident as I can't accurately close and switch between browser tabs.

My sensitivity is just average, not too slow not too fast.

Any thoughts?

For the most part, mice and mouse pads are usually down to personal preference. What works for you may not works for others and so on. Basically I would find what features you need, choose what type of sensor you want. Find something around your hand size and try it out :).

I'ma say Either Razer Deathadder if your a hardcorist or a CMstorm Spawn if your a bit more relaxed and want a comfy mouse... Mousepad I recently just bought a roll of NeoPrene (sound dampening material like what's found in H440 and Define R4 very comfy) using that and if its too large chop it down with scissors or razer blades or an xacto knife... and you can glue on any type of fabric you want(more or less) and you can print out Iron things(for making graphic Tees can't remember what they're called) you go buy them at fabric stores throw them through a printer and put it over the neoprene take an iron and it'll just attatch itself to have a FULLY CUSTOM mousepad...

I'm not sure if they are available here.

I'm leaning towards a high friction mousepad or mat and a laser mouse. Razer is overrated in my opinion, so as Roccats. I had those brands before but they're just pricey because of marketing.

Did you even read my post? I suggested 2 MICE! and a good mousepad...

Edit: If you wanna get technical I guess I suggested a mousepad as good as you want to spend time on...that's also very cheap and for the money of some other "gaming mousepads" you can have a dozen fully customized ones...

Here's a more detailed reply:

Razer is crap, CMStorm Spawn isn't a laser mouse. Neoprene isn't a high friction material. I have a neoprene here (because I customize my arm bands for airsoft protection). It's close to the material of Sargas 900 actually.

The mice is dependent on your preferred style of grip on the mouse.

For mousepad, give the XTRAC PADS Ripper XXL a try.

Not sure about your preference with the weight of the mouse, but the Sensei is slightly heavier than other mouse (about 115g).

I will try the SS Sensei. Xtrac brand is hard to get on my side of the planet so I'll settle with the SS QCK for now.
