It will work but id strongly recommend against this. ALWAYS do a clean install of windows for each build, you will have new hardware in your new computer. so just use the external to backup all the data you want saved and sell the laptop after doing a triple format.

Ok , thanks man :D Every time I use this forum I always get kind of bad answers that dont tell me why I should do/not do what they are telling me. But you'r answer was good :D

So i have a external HDD(that I want to disassemble) and I want to copy my Windows from my laptop that I am selling on to it. If this won't be possible , atleast will I be able to get Windows on it?It's a Seagate Expansion Desktop 2tb. Thanks :D

You propably won't be able to use even windows key from that laptop. Only if its Vista or older. Win7+ are branded OEMs on laptops and other prebuild machines and won't allow key to be activated on another motherboard.
