WHAT THE....? How am I supposed to mount the LEDs?

Go to solution Solved by mapegl,

(How did it short out your GPU? It is all plastic and rubber...)

Not entirely sure, since I didn't see how it happened, I just saw that my screen went black after I heard it fall.....

Also the end has connectors in case you want to attach another LED-strip. Those are metal, I guess that was it.

I attached it with superglue now.

Get actual LED strips. Not any of that Bitfenix/NZXT rubbish.

You are probably right. All done now though. Thanks for the link.

It does fall off (when stuck to the top of a case) even if the surface is clean. The issue is that the adhesive is really thin, and the painted surface of the case if not perfectly flat for the adhesive to properly attach. By using foam tape it will adapt to the corrugated paint surface and stick properly without ever falling off. This does make it harder to remove, but most foam tapes can be removed without damage if you are careful.

Actually, even with caution, it can come off unclean. Usually, even when I'm very careful removing this stuff, i still end up with bits.

Why do people even like lighting up everything when gaming/whatever, the light distracts me and irritates the hell out of me, my Rig is mostly pure black.

psssh Led = 25fps gain, come on you weren't let in on this, this is why I run them

But really, I like them because I can see all the money I spent on hardware, as well as my matching colors and just the pure sexiness tbh and because I have the nzxt hue kit, i can do any coluor or just leave it off

A 5050 LED strip is not low quality. They are pretty baller from what I've seen. Ordered a 80cm strip off them for £9.00. While on Amazon UK A 12cm strip of that Bitfenix Alchemy stuff is £20.

haha, yeah I saw his build, waaaay too much bling Linus has going there. I however didn't remove my power LED from my rig since it is already tinted so it lights up green but is so subtle it looks like part of the box. everything else has as little as possible lighting though.

I had just a window before but it was pitch black inside so i fit some LED strips

They are a WAY brighter in this photo (old one took on my phone on day 1)

I have since out some masking tape over them to act as a difusser (pro top for anyone)

It is now just a very subtle and very even glow, and I can switch it of if needed, makes a nice show piece

That site is mine, and I can assure you that the  Quality of the 5050 LED strips are equal to the Bitfenix ones. Photos are taken with a HTC Wildfire and the camera SUCKS.

Here is a site that done a review on the 5050 Green LED's - http://reviewtech.co.uk. Also in the process of getting some other sites to review my LED's, feel free to PM me a site you trust, and I will contact them and see if they can review them.

I would love to, I have been talking with slick about them, he did answer all my questions except the one where I asked if they could review them. I will message Linus about it.

I put red strips behind my motherboard for an underglow effect and just cut thin strips of electrical tape and taped them down in between each led, hasn't moved yet!
